★ What advice would I give to a new student.. ★

       What advice would I give to a new student, who will start IIEP in the summer, is "Do your best in all classes." During first and second week of IIEP class, I thought classes' contents are not too hard to fallow. Also, homework is not too much for me. But as time goes by, I feel it is beyond my capacity. I have to spend more time than the opening part to do my homework because I have a lot of homework in each class. However, if you study very hard, you can get a lot of things about English. Actually, we have many free time on weekend, so it is up to you. Just do your best!!

★ What I want to get for my birthday... ★

       What I want to get for my next birthday is a gift with someone´s best wishes. Of course, it is good and happy that to get good and expensive presents. However, I want to get something which can I remember for long time. When I was a high school student, my best friend gave me some presents which were big letter and CDs which include my favorite songs. At that time, I really impressed to her, so I still have them in my home. I want feel that kind of impress again. Thus, I really want to get some presents which include my memories or impress.

★ the best invention in my lifetime ★

      The best invention in my lifetime is MP3 player. I really like listen to music. When I in my room, I always listen to music. Also, I always listen to music during I go out somewhere. Before the MP3 was invented, I use Walkman and CD player. However, it is too heavy to bring, and I have to bring cassette tapes and CDs. It is very troublesome work, but after MP3 invention, I can bring only MP3. MP3 is vety small, and I can put many music which I like. Thus, I think MP3 is the bues invention in my lifetime.

★ If my friend were coming to visit Iowa City... ★

       If my friend were coming to visit Iowa City, I will recommend to visit Field House. Because it is very short time to go many places in here, so I didn't go many places. Thus, I don't have any places to recommend. However, I think Field House is good place!!! Because it is very cheep,and we can do many things. I sometimes go there, and run the track. Maybe it will be good experience. Also, it is good for health.

★ The Best Place in U.S.A ★

        My best place in U.S.A is John Hancock Tower in Chicago. I went to Chicago during spring break with Michelle. I really like to watch night view, so I went to John Hancock Tower to see night view of Chicago. We went to there too early, so we had to wait several hours. About two hours later, we could see wonderful night view of Chicago. There were lots of light and buildings. I thought that scene is so beautiful and nice. It was the best time in my Chicago travle. I want to see another night view in many countries.

★ My Favorite Movie genre ★

        I really like watching movies in the theater. When I was in Korea, I watched over forty movies per year. My favorite movie genre is Romance. I like love stories which makes me feel better. For example, I like Notting Hill, P.S I Love You and If Only etc. I feel like I am the main character of the movie when I am watching a movie. When the main characters are sad or happy, I feel same feeling like them. Thus, I always want the movie to end in a happy ending. After I came here, I do not watch any movies, so I really want to watch movies. If I have a free time, I'll go to the theater and watch movies with popcorn.

★ The Best Advice ★

      When I was a high school student, I had a serious worry about my future. I had to decide my major, which was the important factor to get a job, of University at that time. However, I did not know which major fit with me and what I wanted to do. I was very worried and anxious about that. So I went to my favorite teacher who taught me in my middle school. I asked for her advice about how I could decide my major and what was important thing for my future. She told me "The important thing is to find your taste. Of course, it is also important to make a lot of money and to get social position. But how you enjoy that and how you like that makes your life more worthy and joyful." After I heard my teacher's saying, I tried to find what my taste is. So, I could decide my major which is Computer Programming. After I chose my major, I have never regretted my choice and I am satisfied with my choice.^^

★ I want to be famous ★

     I really want to be famous becauese if I become a famous person, I can earn more money, then I can do many things that I want to do. I want to be famous for music or computer programming. Music is a part of my life because I really like listen to music and play the piano. Computer programming is my major in University. I'm not good at both of them, but I like and enjoy them. So, I want to become a person who enjoy one's own job and life.

★ When I have a problem.. ★

      When I have a problem, I usually talk with my friends. I always talk with my mother when I was an elementary school student. But as I grow old, I notice that my think is very different from my mother's. So I start to talk with my friends, when I have a problem. I don't like to tell someone about my story because I don't want to make someone worried about me. So I always talk to my intimate friends(like Michelle^^) about my problem. When I talk my problem, I feel easier. I'm so happy because I have good friends who advise objectively to me about my problem.

★ My Favorite Book ★

  My favorite book is "The Blue Day Book" which was written by Bardly Trevor Greive. This book consist of pictures and sentences. There is an animal's picture in the left page of this book. In the right page, there is a sentenece which matches well with the picture. The contents of this book is everyone has a gloomy day, but it depends on the person's think. When I feel gloomy, I read this book. It looks like a simple picture book but it arouses my sympathy. So I like this book. When you have a minute, try to read this book. Then, your feeling will get better.^^

★ intoduce Jiyeon ★

  I would like to tell you a few things about me. My name is Jiyeon Lee, I'm 21 years old and I'm from South Korea. I'm junior in University and my major is Computer Programming. It's so hard to learn, but I like and enjoy it. My hobby is go to the movies, listen to music and play the piano. I really want to know many people in other countries. And I want to learn many languages. So I choose this program and I'm looking forward to have a funny and instructive time in this class. Nice to meet you and I want to be more familiar with you.
